About Us

The Reiki Centre was founded by Elaine Hamilton Grundy in 2007 to provide a focal point for Reiki teaching without dogma. Over the years we have developed an online resource and trained many Reiki teachers based on the philosophy that Reiki is a modality for self-healing and personal empowerment.

Elaine Hamilton Grundy

Elaine discovered Reiki over 30 years ago and was delighted to have found such a powerful self-healing technique. She became a Reiki Master in 1995 and juggled teaching Reiki with a busy corporate career in marketing and market research. Despite "success" in the business sense, Elaine felt dissatisfied and unfulfilled. She stepped away from her career to set up The Reiki Centre and has since dedicated herself to teaching Reiki and advocating for high quality Reiki education free from dogma.

She has taught thousands of students and nearly 100 Reiki Teachers, developing a supportive community along the way.

Elaine has authored two books: “Reiki, Pure and Simple” a down to earth and accessible introduction to Reiki, and "Reiki - A Path to Freedom" the spiritual aspect of Reiki that is often side-stepped or forgotten.

Elaine's spiritual curiosity has now taken her deeper into meditation, nonduality, and inner inquiry and she offers day immersions, events and personal sessions exploring the truth of being.

Nirupama Soni

Niru is a naturally gifted intuitive and a deeply sensitive empath. Devoted to nurturing the heart, mind, body, and soul, she believes wholeheartedly that every person carries the innate potential to heal — and that all healing begins with openness, trust, and a willingness to receive.

Although she was aware of Reiki from a young age, her true journey began when life’s storms shook her at every level. Amid this turbulence, she was drawn to Reiki’s holistic, restorative, and transformative power. Through it, she began to heal, awaken, and return to alignment. Reiki became a guiding light, illuminating her path toward self-discovery, inner peace, clarity, and a life infused with deeper meaning and purpose.

She supports others in rediscovering balance, releasing emotional burdens, and returning to a natural state of well-being through this non-invasive, soulful modality.

Alongside Reiki, she is also trained in hypnotherapy, psychotherapy, traditional Hatha Yoga, and mindfulness practices. She weaves these modalities seamlessly into her work — offering workshops, Reiki talks, personalized healing sessions (both hands-on and distant), and Animal Reiki for pets and companion animals.

REIKI WORKSHOPS

Jee Yin Ling

Being highly sensitive to energy and empathic, Yin Ling loves connecting with seniors and has been drawn to holistic healing at an early age. She began learning Reiki to ease her digestive issues, but it ultimately unfolded a path of self-discovery and personal growth.

Her journey with Reiki helped her manage her physical health, transform limiting beliefs and discover a deep sense of joy by living in alignment with her inner truth. Yin Ling believes that we all have the capacity to fulfil our potential and live a happy life, no matter our age. She is passionate about sharing this self-healing technique with others.

She is a Reiki Master Teacher who weaves together her knowledge of artistic therapy, gerontology, Reiki and her intuitive gifts to hold space as a facilitator to help others to connect with their true potential. She provides Reiki healing, English and Chinese Reiki workshops, Reiki shares, distance healing and Introduction

Yin Ling also holds a Master of Gerontology and a Diploma in Holistic Counselling.
