About The Reiki Centre
The Reiki Centre is based in Singapore, founded in 2007 by Elaine Hamilton. We specialise in practical Reiki education, supporting students from their first Reiki course through to professional practice. Our philosophy is that Reiki is a modality for self-healing and personal empowerment, it can be learnt by anyone and requires no special gift, belief or dogma.

Reiki is often portrayed as a complementary therapy where you need to go to a therapist for help. At the Reiki Centre our focus is on self-help and learning Reiki for self-care for yourself and your loved ones.

Reiki is a path to self-discovery
Reiki has the potential to open us fully to live a more authentic and meaningful life.​ To live freely, as we wish to, and not the way we have been told, or as others expect us to.

Reiki expresses uniquely through you
There is no 'right' way to practice Reiki on yourself or on others. Universal life force by definition is unlimited with no rules. We encourage your own unique expression and way of doing Reiki.
Our
Story
20 Years Ago....
In 2007, after 10 years teaching Reiki out of rented halls, hotels, and the wonderful Basic Essence, Elaine decided to open her own space. The Reiki Centre began as a room in a shophouse on River Valley before moving into a top floor space in Joo Chiat. Over the years The Reiki Centre expanded into four different locations hosted by groups of teachers all trained by the Reiki Centre. We enjoyed collaborating with a great team at One Heart.
In 2016 we started offering online hybrid Reiki classes and expanding our Reiki education globally. Today the Singapore classes are supported by two teachers, Niru Soni on the East Coast and Jee Yin Ling in Bukit Timah. While Elaine Hamilton manages the online aspects and global community support (and living her best nomadic life!).
