ABOUT ELAINE

Elaine has been teaching Reiki for over 20 years and founded The Reiki Centre in 2007 to focus on bringing high quality Reiki teaching to those interested in self-empowerment.  Over the past 2 decades Elaine has trained thousands of Reiki students and over 80 Reiki Masters via her vigorous Teacher training program.

Elaine's passion is bringing the spiritual aspect back into Reiki and helping people find their inner truth and autonomy through their Reiki practice.

Elaine has lived and worked all over the world.  She was born and raised in Hong Kong and has worked in London, Hong Kong, New York, Singapore and is now enjoying Letchworth Garden City in Hertfordshire, England.  Elaine spent a decade in the corporate world of advertising, marketing and market research.  She also spent the later part of her corporate career conducting leadership training and executive coaching for government and multi-nationals.

Elaine discovered Reiki over twenty five years ago and was delighted to have found such a powerful self-healing technique.  She became a Reiki Master in 1995 and juggled teaching Reiki with a busy corporate career.  She stepped away from her corporate career in 2007 to set up The Reiki Centre and has since dedicated her work to teaching Reiki and advocating for high quality Reiki education free from dogma.

She is author of “Reiki, Pure and Simple” a down to earth and accessible introduction to Reiki, and shares many resources and articles on her blog and YouTube channel.

Her latest book "Reiki - A Path to Freedom" outlines the spiritual aspect of Reiki that is often side-stepped or forgotten.  Reiki is essentially and originally a spiritual practice based on self-knowledge, as Usui (the founder of Reiki) put it, Reiki is "the secret method for gaining happiness".

Elaine specialises in virtual and online Reiki classes, webinars and personal mentoring and healing.  Elaine travels on demand.  Please be in touch if you would like to arrange for a Reiki beginners, or advanced workshop in your area.  She travels to Singapore twice a year.
