Reiki Experiments – Apples

Posted in Case Studies, and New to Reiki

In my Children’s Reiki class I challenged the kids to do their own Reiki experiment.  Each child is given an apple and told to cut it in half.  Each half is placed in similar sterilised containers – either glass jars or plastic containers.  One container is to be given about 1 minute of Reiki a day, the other is left as the control.  Here are their results!

Alpha waves are predominantly associated with states of relaxation, a calm wakefulness. These waves can be produced by closing your eyes, relaxing and becoming still. The Iceberg Concept – Transcending Suffering

Posted in About Reiki, and New to Reiki

Excerpt from Reiki, Pure and Simple

Every individual is unique and so is every individual’s journey with Reiki. It’s important to remember that Reiki itself is not ‘doing’ anything; it is simply providing the fuel – the energy – for you to do your own inner work.

Healing is commonly defined as the disappearance of symptoms and a return to feeling ‘normal’ (until the next time!). At the Reiki Centre, Read More The Iceberg Concept – Transcending Suffering

The Qualities of Reiki

Posted in About Reiki, and New to Reiki

Excerpt from Reiki, Pure and Simple

Reiki’s uniqueness as a healing therapy comes from five main qualities:

1.  Reiki energy is osmotic: Reiki energy flows as if by osmosis and once it enters the body it will be used where it is most needed. Reiki research in Hospitals and medical settings

Posted in New to Reiki, and Research

Over the years Reiki has become better researched as hospitals and clinics try to find ways to compliment their patient care.  I’m often asked if Reiki has any basis in scientific research, and this is my reply 🙂

According to an International Association of Reiki Professionals (IARP) study of “America’s Best Hospitals” (the top 25 Read More Reiki research in Hospitals and medical settings
